The theme of Micro furniture is to identify and evolve new product types for the domestic landscape by a process of exploring and reviving social situations. The Micro Furniture products aim to redefine some of the functions associated with home entertaining and what this could offer the inhabitants of the 21st century urban habitat. There has been a great shift towards smaller domestic units and singular dwelling which is reflected in the philosophy of the Diplomat approach to design.

The three pieces of micro furniture share a common base. The base and the sculptural tops are made from sand cast aluminium, which then undergoes a high level of finishing and painting to produce the quality of form and surface. Other components are chromed tubular steel and Corian inserts.

  • Wishbone - wine server

    • For that intimate evening drink, watching the sun set behind your own urban industrial panorama.

  • Kipling - tea table.

    • For a morning read and reviving beverage and later a martini stirred, not shaken by your own stock market success.

  • Kane and Able - table.

    • Simple side table with optional top dish for delicacies or simply somewhere to keep your kiwis.
